The Bach Scholar Program

The B.E.S.T. Bach Scholar Program aims to support emerging musicians preparing for professional careers. Bach Scholars receive an annual stipend and perform with the Bach Ensemble as part of the Bach Vespers series.

There are no specific guidelines for applicants, but strongest consideration will be given to musicians preparing for or beginning professional careers with a passion for baroque music and the music of J. S. Bach. Virtual auditions are possible, but in-person auditions are highly recommended.

Bach Scholars receive:

• An annual stipend of $1000
• recordings of performances for promotion use
• coachings with B.E.S.T. artists and principal singers
• professional headshots

Applications are reviewed by a selection committee. 
Application deadline:          August 13, 2023

In-Person Auditions:          
August 15, 2023 (part of open choral auditions*)
August 20, 2023
