Harpsichord Dedication and Recital
Bach Ensemble harpsichordist Michael Delfin presents a recital in celebration of the arrival of the new harpsichord. The instrument, which was built in 1978 by American harpsichord maker William Dowd and restored recently by Howard Wagner of Harpsichord Clearinghouse Store, was acquired with the support of several Bach Ensemble patrons.
Recognized for fiercely colorful playing, Michael Delfín captures the listener with sensitivity and flair on both piano and harpsichord. He was recently nominated to The Diapason “20 Under 30” Class of 2021. He has soloed for the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and the Aspen, Eastern, and Chautauqua Music Festivals and performed with the CCM Philharmonia and Eastern Music Festival Orchestra. The recipient of awards from the Historical Keyboard Society of North America and the Catacoustic Consort, Michael is the artistic director of the Seven Hills Baroque Ensemble. Reception to follow
