The Bach Vespers at St. Thomas will feature the Lamentations of Jeremiah by the English composer, Thomas Tallis, as part of its Bach Vespers for Lent on Sunday, February 17 at 4pm. Members of the Cincinnati Bach Ensemble-soprano Krista Cornish Scott, soprano Amanda Bower, alto Sarah Jackson, tenor Jeffrey Stivers and St. Thomas Director of Music and baritone Carlton Monroe-will sing the two separate compositions that make up the Lamentations.
The quintet will join with the Schola Cantorum of St. Thomas to sing Drop, Drop Slow Tears by Orlando Gibbons, as well as Psalms and service music.
